Happy Friday everyone! I've not been able to blog quite so regularly recently as everything has been a little hectic. Firstly, I've been working a few days a week with Heather Jenkinson in her studio. This has been an amazing experience and she is truly inspirational as an interior designer and as a woman in business. Her blog which you can see by clicking here has some great shots of the projects she is working on - simply stunning.
What is so special about Heather is her ability to read people and understand them: from obvious character traits to subtle nuances, she's got it covered. When you couple that with her experience and creative vision for interior design, you get a supremely talented and instinctive designer.
The other great thing is I can take Alfie pug with me, it's his first day next week - I'll let you know how he gets on. He has to have some teeth out on Monday so I guess he'll be feeling a little sorry for himself for a few days.
| I feel bad he has no idea what is coming on Monday. Is that weird? |
Anyway, some other brilliant news is that West Egg has been featured in two national magazines this month - I find this ridiculously exciting. I've worked hard on West Egg so it is great to be rewarded in this way. One of the oriental vases was featured in Period Living magazine and Your Home magazine included the SourceBook in their Decorating Inspiration editorial page.

Lastly, we're moving house next week. Next Thursday actually. I'm feeling really rather under-prepared although I do have a (long) list and I have to say, it is super liberating clearing out rooms and donating stuff to charity with the radio turned up. The kettle is permanently on and my late breakfast of Bonne Maman Apricot Preserve on hot, buttered granary toast was too good. Simple pleasures and all that.
All in all I couldn't have hoped/wished/dreamt of a more wonderful start to 2012. Have a great weekend all - the weather here is dreadful but at least it's cosy inside.
